Friday the Marine Corps began to make the decision on the disciplinary actions to be taken, if any, against U.S. Marines found urinating on dead bodies in Afghanistan. The top Marine officer General James Amos appointed three-star General Thomas Waldhauser to oversee the case. He then hired an officer to do an internal Marine Corps investigation in addition to the investigation taking place by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service(NCIS). Investigators are looking to see if senior Marines are failing to ensure the proper discipline. They are also investigating whether or not the marines are receiving the proper education on the laws of warfare.
