Okemos, Mich.: Susan Barry, 60, spends every day wishing she had known more about male anorexia when her son, TJ Warschefsky, was still alive. He died in 2007 at the age of 22 after an eight-year battle with the disease. His heart gave out in the middle of his nightly routine of 1,000 sit-ups. He weighed 78 pounds.“He didn’t want to be skinny,” Barry said of TJ, who was a star athlete and straight-A student. “He wanted a six pack, he wanted rock hard abs. That’s how it all started.”

This is just one of the many stories on this site. People hear anorexia and think it's a girl's disease, but at least one million males in the United States struggle with anorexia or bulimia. It seems that the disease is increasing among boys, but it could be that they are just more comfortable "coming out" now. One in four people suffering from anorexia are male and it makes it embarrassing for them to come out because people believe it's a girl's disease. Something needs to be done about this.

Rapper M.I.A. gave the middle finger to the network camera's during Madonna's performance at the Super Bowl halftime show. There was a failure in  NBC's delay system and the gesture was disappointing and inappropriate. I don't think they should even have to have blocks on family shows. I mean come on, grow up, little kids watch the Super Bowl with their families. If the show is family oriented then celebrities should be smart enough to make the right decisions. They aren't any better than any one else and they have to abide by the same rules. I happened to be watching with my grandma and I was embarrassed that something so vulgar would happen on a family oriented show. People need to grow up.

More than 70 people were left dead after the events that took place at the football game and more than 1,000 injured. Groups of anti-authority fans called "Ultras" have a conflict with the police at football games because of the "heavy-handed treatment". The question is why and how this happened while police just stood by. The league has been ordered to stop and there is a three day mourning as the fans take to the street to protest and demand answers. I want to know how it got so bad when the police were right there! Why didn't they do anything? I think this whole ordeal will have repercussions and this won't be the last time we hear about it.
